Katie Mulligan is the school-based counsellor here at Haute Vallée School. Katie is a fully qualified Counsellor who is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and strictly follows the BACP code of ethics.
Katie has a wealth of experience working with children and young people both in Education and additional outside agencies. Katie maintains extensive, current, safeguarding knowledge in order to provide a confidential service that prioritises students’ safety.
Counselling at Haute Vallée offers students the opportunity to safely express and explore difficult thoughts and feelings without fear or blame in order to implement effective change, reduce psychological distress, encourage emotional personal development, enhance wellbeing, and positively impact learning. Counselling is both voluntary and consensual. With the exception of self-referrals, all requests for involvement can be made by teachers, school-based staff, parents, or outside agencies.
